Here's what Kaaren had to say about her pattern:  Last Sunday morning, while doing a bit of housework trying to fill in time until the start of the gold medal hockey game between Canada and the United States, an idea for a new design popped into my head. After some quick sketching and even speedier stitching, a new design was born, just in time for this month’s First Friday Freebie.

I had actually completed another design that was designated for this month and it was all ready to go but when I realized that Easter is early this year and if I waited until next month to come up with something for Easter, it would be too late for this year. So the design that was originally slated for this month has been set aside until next month.

I hope you enjoy my Easter Sampler.

Here's what Lisa said about Lil' Lop Eared Bunny:   This pattern is a one that I shared with my newsletter members last year for a small vintage style bunny just the right size to fill any Easter Basket. You may remember seeing this little vintage style Easter Bunny on my Blog and briefly in my Etsy shop. I modeled him after a really sweet bunny I had as a kind (mine was blue with a white tummy) but truthfully, I think this guy turned out looking more like Eeyore! You can also turn the ears upright so he looks less like the famous Pooh Bear sidekick and hey, it's FREE so enjoy!

All you need to do is to click on the pattern. After you click, the pattern will enlarge. Then, just right click and "Save Image As" to save it to your computer. Then print it out.

Here's the instructions and what Lisa said about Tippy The Snow Bunny: This pattern is a one that I shared with my newsletter members last year for a cute kid bundled up in a bunny snow suit. You may remember seeing Tippy, the True Blue Snow Bunny on my Blog and briefly in my Etsy shop. Just follow the instructions to make your own Tippy. 

All you need to do is to click on the pattern below and save it to your computer. After you click, the pattern will enlarge.  You should be able to right click, save the image and then print it out. I usually print mine out on card stock so it's easier to trace onto fabric.

You can either insert the face from the back as I did or you can omit cutting out the face in the main body piece of the pattern and just top stitch the face pattern onto the body pattern. There is no seam allowance included in the pattern. I usually just trace it onto the felt fabric and then sew on the line. Also, I used floral wire in my feet so they could be bent and posed. If you have some pipe cleaners they work just as well and then you don't have to stuff the feet as much!

Here's the instructions and what Lisa had to say about her Felt Snow Bunny Ornament Pattern:  Okay, this is probably the last free pattern before Christmas. But thankfully, you can use this one for Easter too! So hang on to it and file it away in your stash. It's incredibly simple but I think it works up really cute. It's small enough that besides being an ornament, it would also make a cute package decoration or even a pin. Or stick one of those magnets on the back and put him on your fridge! And Snow Bunnies stick around all winter unlike Snowmen who are a little less reliable - especially in warmer weather!

All you need to do is to click on the pattern above and save it to your computer. After you click, the pattern will enlarge. Then, just right click and "Save Image As" to save it to your computer. 

Anyway, my only hints with this pattern are in order to work this small (hey, it's small for me) I traced my pattern onto a piece of felt, folded the felt over and then sewed directly on the outline of the bunny. I left the side open for stuffing. You can wire his ears if you like with chenille pipe cleaners. Then you won't have to stuff them and they'll be poseable. Along those same lines, you could wire the whole bunny if you like and not stuff him at all. Just make him a little poseable guy to put where ever you want. Oh, and finally the face and other features I embroidered but you can do whatever you want with your bunny. I'm not going to come inspect them or anything! And I just used a few strands of that fancy yarn for my scarf. I really love that yarn and wish I could find more as it's both soft and sparkly - gotta love it!

Sock Elephant Free Pattern by Lisa Bunting Thoms of Q.D. Patooties

Here's the instructions and what Lisa had to say about her pattern:  Here's the pattern you are going to need. Just click on the pictures above and a full sized pattern will appear. It is meant to be printed on an 81/2 x 11 Sheet of paper. Cut out the pattern pieces and trace them on your sock and then sew around your outlined pieces. Cutting out individual pieces and then trying to sew them is much harder and we like easy stuff, right?

1.  Sew all the pattern pieces, trim and use fraychek on your edges then turn.
2.  For the elephants head, turn your head so the trunk is seam side up, pinch the head closed and sew the opening shut.  It looks like a "T."
3.  Wire your trunk with a chenille stem.
4.  Stuff all your pieces except your ears.
5.  See picture below:

To complete this project, you'll need a pair of crew length socks, sewing machine (I set my stitch length on 1.5), matching thread, stuffing, floral wire, embroidery thread, a set of eyes or buttons (if you're not going to embroider yours), and things to embellish your elephant like trim. If you want to have your elephant balancing on something, you'll need something interesting like a sundae dish or a cupcake. This pattern and tutorial are for the elephant only.

Spring is in My Heart This design can be used in so many different ways. *Drill a small hole in the center and use as a tag for a gift basket or clasp onto a tote or purse. *Attach a magnet to the back. *Glue a long thin stake to the back and use as a plant poke. *Drill a tiny hole on each side of the heart and attach to a basket with wire. My designs are intended, and permitted, for Personal use only….. 

All of my designs can be used for personal use in anyway that you would like to use them, such as for painting, stitchery, or appliqué. They can be used to produce a painting or other craft to sell for “pin” money for craft shows, eBay, personal web-sites, craft malls, etc.

They cannot , however, be mass produced, used to produce products for wholesale purposes, catalog sales, or used in any type of business or commercial use. This includes using any part of my design to reproduce an item for commercial re-sale, such as “wood kits”, “graphics”, “scrapbook kits” , or any other reproduced item from the use of my designs. 

Reproduction of any part of my designs  - YES… please feel free to be creative with my designs and reduce or enlarge any of the line drawings to fit your personal use, such as to fit on different sized surfaces.

They however, cannot be reproduced or copied to pass along to friends, groups, paint classes etc….

By no means, can they be reproduced or republished to be sold as pattern packets on eBay, internet sites, Stores/Shops, or conventions.  

Scanning of line drawings, instructions, photographs - Any of my line drawings, patterns, or photographs cannot be scanned or photographed and used for PSP Tutorials, graphic use, advertising, logos, business cards, web-sites, etc. 

TEACHING MY DESIGNS - I am so grateful for all the wonderful teachers that teach my designs! Thank you so much!  For those of you considering teaching my designs that do not know what my requirements are…. They are listed below.

• I would prefer that classes purchase the pattern packet or book (I do give a wholesale discounts for the class purchase), but if that is not possible, (1) line drawing per student is permitted to be copied and distributed. Please make sure that I am given credit as the designer on the line drawing by printing my name with the line drawing.
• Other than the line drawing, no other part of my design can be reproduced, such as the photograph and instructions. If the photograph, instructions, and line drawing are all reproduced, this is actually “reproducing” my pattern packet or book design, and this is not permitted.
• Pattern Packets and designs from any of my books are not to be reproduced to sell for wholesale or retail.
