I have to tell you that I'm having a delightful time reading through all the tutorials Thespa McLaughlin has on her of Vintiquities Workshop.  She is an amazing mixed media artist and I LOVE all her creations.

 If anyone ever asked me if I wanted to make a decayed elegance cuff bracelet I'd probably look at them like they had two heads.  But, now that I know what it is I would definitely have to say "YES! I would."  If you're curious as to what I'm talking about you just have to check out Thespa's tutorial.  How gorgeous is that?

The second (replacement) is only about 6 weeks old, the second hand fell off and has jammed up the hour hand!! The back can not be removed to sort it out. A couple of little gems missing on both.

Alisa's Bio: Alisa Burke is a freelance painter and mixed media artist who studied fine art at Portland State University. With a background in painting and printmaking, a desire to explore and push materials, Alisa is always looking for new ways to break the rules and redefine art. She draws inspiration from street art, graffiti, art history and fashion and it is not uncommon to find her digging through the trash in hopes of recycling something unique use in her artwork.

Alisa’s paintings have been exhibited in a variety of galleries and her handmade, painted accessories are carried in a number of boutiques across the country. Her artwork has been featured in publications such as Cloth Paper Scissors, Quilting Arts, Where Women Create, Somerset Studios’ Haute Handbags, Art Doll Quarterly, and the University of San Diego Magazine. Here's what Andrea had to say about her tutorial:  You can use any buttons that you have and they do not have to be all the same size. For this tutorial I am going to use a range of blue buttons.  All you really need is some 5mm ribbon and some buttons. You could have a bracelet clip as well to make putting on and taking off the bracelet a little easier, but use what you have.

Everything is cuter when it is miniature. This “leaves” necklace is made from a bracelet “end clasp” and teeny tiny shrinky dink shapes. Each tiny leaf has been carefully cut out, hand painted, and then shrunken to its small size.  Here they are on my little child manny:
