Rita Hayworth, early 1940s

Showing why she joined Betty Grable as the most requested pin-up of WWII servicemen. I found two interesting items in her biography at Wikipedia:
At 5'6" (168 cm) and 120-lb (55 kgs)she was tall for women of her time and her height was a concern to her movie star dancing partners like Fred Astaire.

In 1940 she started a manicure trend. Hers were longer than previously worn, more oval than pointed, and fully covered with red polish. (Previously there was no polish covering the moon of the nail or the tip.)
