"Yosemite is a unique national park in that it has an actual village (called Yosemite Village) where year-round employees live right in the heart of the park, completely surrounded by tourist activity and insanely beautiful granite cliffs, peaks, and waterfalls. This ball field is on the edge of an entire neighborhood where my grandma lived when she was born. It’s residential so they don’t really care for tourists wandering through, but it’s pretty interesting to take a walk through and see all of the old houses.
