I did the finishing on my Ocean Garden Cellphone Pouch so I thought now would be a good time to give you the tutorial. It's very easy!!!

I just LOVE crazy quilt creations so I was thrilled to see that Carol Daisy had a wonderful tutorial on her Create-Enhance blog showing you how to create an Embroidered Mobile Pouch. I'm definitely going to make one of these.

Here's what Carol had to say about her tutorial: A quick project, for embellishing with Silk Ribbon Embroidery, Dyed Laces, Threads and Beads. Whatever you can find in your stash. I use a Satin Transfer for the main feature. This helps with coordinating the fabrics and ribbons etc. Just about everyone has a Mobile Phone these days and having a pretty pouch to keep it in, is a bonus. This Pattern is a simple one, with limited Embroidery. However, there is so much more that you can add.

Carol's Bio: My life is at the stage that I can indulge in my interests of Embroidery and Crafts. Ribbons,beads,threads, laces and trims all have a special place here in my studio.

My childhood was spent on the family dairy farm in Toowoomba, Queensland. When I was about 12 years old, my Grandmother (nicknamed Daisy – hence the name Daisy’s Garden) introduced me to the joys of needlework. I am so thankful to her for giving me a skill that I could enjoy and build upon for life. After the chores were done, whenever I had some spare time, I would sit quietly on the front porch and stitch away. I remember these times so fondly. When I retired, and finally had some time to myself, I had the desire to do embroidery again. I didn’t get far with the fancy work tablecloth however, once I discovered Silk Ribbon Embroidery, I became addicted!

Well, if you're looking for a quick and easy knitted bag to make then you'll be happy to know that Andrea Millington of Indigo Blue Designs has a wonderful tutorial on her Indigo Blue blog showing you how to make a chunky knitted bag. I may just have to make one of these for myself..

Here's what Andrea had to say about her tutorial: This tutorial is not intended to be revolutionary in any way and many more experienced knitters may not be impressed. However, as a person who has a bit of a problem following patterns and finds knitting takes too long sometimes, I did find this project refreshing. I saw a pattern that I liked, used the same size needles and wool size, changed the overall stitch used and worked out the rows etc to work to a given size. Therefore it will be easy to change this for your own needs- bigger/smaller/thicker/thinner etc.

Several years ago I fell in love with wool felt and penny rugs and love creating all sorts of items using wool and wool felt. Diary Wallet Free Tutorial From Andrea Millington of Indigo Blue Designs

As a little girl I had a diary with a little lock on it. I wrote in it every day for awhile but must have lost interest as I stopped writing in it one day. In any event, as an adult I have always thought it would be a great idea to keep a diary. For me, instead of writing in a traditional diary I maintain some non-traditional diaries - blogs. I like to think they're just an electronic version of a diary.

Here's what Andrea had to say about her tutorial: About a year or so ago I made a laptop bag using Cath Kidston fabric. There is a tutorial in the side bar. I really wanted to make something over the summer. I have a diary at work and get given lots of paper. I dropped my diary near the end of term and the contents shot down my classroom floor and covered nearly 6 feet!! So a wallet of some kind that I could keep my diary in and any paper which I then work on at home etc seemed the ideal solution.

I thought initially that this tutorial would be better during the winter months, but with allergy season in full swing, tissue pouches are great any time of year! They are so easy to make as well. You can whip one up in less than half an hour (probably closer to 15 minutes!).
